Terms of use

Version of October 20, 2026. This is a translation: if the two differ, the Spanish version applies.

1. What Gym4Real is

Gym4Real is an app to follow your gym's workout set by set and, for gyms and trainers, a panel to build workouts and see their members' progress. The member app already works; the panel is under construction. These terms cover this site, the waitlist and, once sales open, the use of the system. The app also has its own terms, which you accept when you create an account.

2. The waitlist

• It's free and commits you to nothing: it doesn't charge you or oblige you to buy.
• We write to let you know when the free trial opens. You can leave anytime by writing to info@gym4real.com.
• The only thing people on the list get is to try it before anyone else.

3. Pricing

• Prices are those published on the site, in US dollars, the same in every country. They don't include taxes your country may charge.
• You're charged by active people: members or clients with an open account. Paused and cancelled ones don't count. Every plan has every feature.
• Paying for the year costs 10 months (2 months free).
• Your members pay nothing to use the app while your gym pays.
• If a price changes, we email you 30 days in advance, and the change applies from your next billing period, never in the middle of one.

4. Free trial, payments and cancelling

• Trial: 30 days free, no card, everything open. Nothing is charged automatically when it ends: with up to 5 active people you move to the free plan; with more, your panel becomes read-only until you pick a plan. Nothing is deleted.
• Month to month: no contract and no cancellation fee. Cancel anytime and the service runs until the end of the period already paid. We don't refund part of a period already started, unless your country's law says otherwise.
• If a payment fails: we let you know and you have 7 days to fix it before the panel becomes read-only.
• If your gym stops paying: its members still see their workout and what they logged, without the Pro features, and can pay for the standalone app on their own.
• After cancelling: we keep your gym's data for 180 days, read-only, in case you come back. Then it's deleted. Encrypted backups disappear by themselves as they rotate.

5. Your data

• Your gym's and your members' data are yours. We use them only to provide the service: we don't sell them, we don't use them for advertising and each gym sees only its own.
• We send you a copy of everything that's yours whenever you ask, in files Excel or Google Sheets can open.
• With the gym system, the gym is responsible for its members' data and Gym4Real processes it on the gym's behalf. Details are in the privacy notice and in the app's.
• Free move: if you send us your workouts (spreadsheet, PDF, whiteboard photo or messages), we load them for you at no cost. If there are many, we agree on the timeline with you before starting.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use Gym4Real for anything illegal, to send spam, to impersonate someone, to try to access other people's data, to copy the site with automated programs or to attack or overload the service. If that happens, we may close the account.

7. Health

Gym4Real helps you follow your workout; it doesn't give medical advice. Before starting an exercise plan, especially if you have an injury or a health condition, talk to a professional. The technique drawings are a guide: your trainer has the final say.

8. Availability

We work to keep Gym4Real running at all times and make encrypted backups every day, but there may be outages for maintenance or failures beyond our control. What you log without signal is saved on the phone and sent when the connection returns.

9. Liability

If something goes wrong through our fault, we're liable up to what you paid us in the last 6 months or US$50, whichever is greater. This limit doesn't apply where the law doesn't allow it, such as wilful misconduct or gross negligence. We're not liable for injuries while training or for how each gym uses its members' data.

10. What belongs to whom

The Gym4Real brand, the app, the site and its code belong to Gym4Real. What you and your members log is theirs: you give us permission only to store it and show it within the service, and that permission ends when it's deleted. The technique drawings are by Everkinetic (CC BY-SA 4.0 license).

11. Changes to these terms

If they change in something important, we change the date above and email you 30 days in advance.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica. If you have a problem, write to us first: almost everything gets solved that way. If not, the courts of Costa Rica decide, unless your country's law gives you the right to claim there.
